Why Heronwood

What makes working with us straightforward

Unhurried by design

Sessions move at a pace you choose. Nothing is pressed or rushed, and you can pause or continue whenever suits your household.

Organised, not complicated

We use plain language and clear labelling throughout. Every deliverable is written so anyone in your family can follow it without needing to ask questions.

Strictly informational

Heronwood provides organisation and general information only. We do not give legal, financial, or formal advice — always pointing to official sources when needed.

Printed materials every time

Every programme ends with printed documents you can keep, file, and share — not digital files that can be lost or overlooked.

Suited to families

Our series formats are designed to include different family members — whether you are working through things alone or with a partner, adult children, or other relatives.

Based in Chiang Mai

We work with households across the Chiang Mai area and understand the particular record-keeping considerations that can arise for residents and long-term families here.

Is your household paperwork as clear as it could be?

Many families find this kind of work easier with a calm, structured guide alongside them. We are happy to explain what each of our programmes involves before you make any decision.

Questions

Things people often ask us

What does an organisational session actually involve?
Each session is a calm, structured conversation where we help you identify and label your important documents — things like property papers, bank account details, insurance policies, and family records. We work through them together at your pace and produce a printed summary you can keep at home.
Do you give legal or financial advice?
No. Heronwood is an organisational and educational service only. We help you understand what you have, where it is kept, and how to present it clearly. For formal legal or financial matters, we always point you to the relevant official sources and professional advisers.
How long does each programme take?
It depends on the programme you choose. A Personal Inventory Session is typically completed in one meeting of two to three hours. The Family Conversation Series is spread across several shorter sessions over a few weeks. The Records Archive Programme is the most thorough and usually takes four to six weeks, depending on how complex your household documents are.
Who is this service intended for?
Anyone who wants their important household records in clear, easy-to-follow order. This is often useful for people thinking ahead for themselves or their family, households where multiple people need to know where key documents are, or individuals who have recently moved or changed their personal circumstances.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions typically take place at our Chiang Mai office on Singharat Road, though we can discuss home visits for households within the city area for programmes that involve reviewing physical documents in situ. Please contact us to discuss what would suit you best.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. Any information you share with us during sessions is treated with care and discretion. We do not store unnecessary copies of your documents, and all printed materials are handed directly to you. Our privacy practices are described in full in our Privacy Policy.
